Sharing Little Treasurer with Cincinnati: A Memorable Experience

When I first started Little Treasurer, my focus was on creating a fun and engaging way for kids to start learning about money early. I never imagined the journey would lead to being featured on the news! Getting the opportunity to share Little Treasurer with a wider audience was such a special experience, and I’m thrilled to reflect on it here.
Being interviewed gave me a chance to talk about why I’m so passionate about teaching kids financial literacy. Studies show that children begin forming financial habits as young as seven years old. That’s why starting early—through play and simple lessons—can make such a big difference. During the segment, I shared how Little Treasurer was designed to fill this gap with tools and activities that are fun and approachable for both kids and parents.
Talking about the journey behind Little Treasurer and the inspiration for starting with preschoolers was especially meaningful. I introduced Finley, the financial panda, and explained how the subscription boxes help kids understand basic money concepts, like the value of coins and how money is earned and spent. Seeing it all come to life on screen was surreal!
After the segment aired, the outpouring of support and kind messages I received was overwhelming in the best way. Parents reached out to share how much they loved the idea and how they’ve been looking for a way to teach their kids about money. Knowing that Little Treasurer is already sparking conversations and making an impact feels incredible.
This entire experience has been a reminder of why I started Little Treasurer—to empower families with tools to raise confident, financially savvy kids. I’m so grateful to have had this platform to share my story, and I can’t wait to see what’s next as Little Treasurer continues to grow.
